Carly Peterson

Registered Physiotherapist – MPT

Education and Background:

Carly grew up skiing, windsurfing, and biking in the outdoor playground of Hood River, Oregon, and migrated north to study kinesiology and biology at UBC. Before completing her Master of Physiotherapy degree at UBC, she practiced as a kinesiologist and Clinical Exercise Physiologist for five years. This experience taught her to always consider clients’ broader life, physical, and mental health circumstances when designing treatment plans to set clients up for success.

A dedicated trail runner, Carly is at home in the mountains, training year-round for long-distance trail races, backcountry skiing, and gravel cycling. She hopes to be happily running when she’s 80 and this sustainable approach to lifetime activity informs her approach to treatment. Carly particularly enjoys working with endurance athletes of any level recovering from overtraining and low energy availability. When she’s not playing outside, Carly designs and sews custom bikepacking gear on her industrial sewing machine.

What can you expect from Carly? A commitment to standing for your greatness and potential even if you don’t believe it yet. And a collaborative down-to-earth approach incorporating a mix of education, exercise, manual therapy, and pain science. Carly has a soft spot for helping people new to exercise learn about their bodies and make themselves proud. You don’t have to take on your healing alone. You’ve got this, and we’ve got you.
